About Us
Founded in 2005, First Gear started with a straightforward goal: making authentic Japanese performance parts available to Canadian car enthusiasts. What began as a small importing venture quickly picked up momentum. In 2011, we rebranded as First Gear LTD. to reflect our growing scope, and by 2012, we opened First Gear Project, a dedicated parts and service shop to meet the needs of our expanding community.
Nearly two decades later, we’re known not just for the parts we carry, but for our technical knowledge, honesty, and deep passion for the cars and brands we support. Our direct relationships with leading manufacturers in Japan give us access to genuine parts rarely available elsewhere, and every product meets the standards we’d want for our own builds.
Our network keeps evolving. Recent partnerships include R1TITAN (2023), VOLTEX Racing (2024), HKS (2024), TWS Forged (2024), Aimgain (2025), ASM (2025), and TOM’S Racing (2025).
